This week I started the presentation project. Students do a survey on food habits in groups and present the data using the past tense.

Give them the assignment, then when they come to class with data, use teach the past tense.

UNIT 3
In this unit, I will focus on issues related to the environment.
Week 10 (actually, the calendar changed so much that I’m not sure what week it is!!)
To introduce the unit, we watch about 20 minutes of the Simpsons Movie (from “Spider Pig” until Springfield gets trapped inside the dome). Then we discuss these questions. I may also have them write about the prompt.

Then we will discuss a very recent environmental issue by reading the article: Firefighters extinguish Puerto Rico blaze-marked
I ask the students to guess from contexts the highlighted words. Then I will focus on the content of the article that has to do with the possible environmental impact from the fire.
